We went there on a friday evening. There was only one other table. Fried catfish and sausages were good. Briskets was old though. Overall not bad for a road trip stop.

I haven't been back in sometime, but I found a lot of the reviews on here misleading so felt I needed to post one to help travelers avoid disappointment. Not sure what BBQ they are used to having, and what piece of meat they got at Lemon's that was tender, but as for myself, the ribs were scorched black until they were almost jerky, and the sides tasted old. if I were you I'd go ahead and drive on past Lemons to highway 377, go about 500 feet and turn into Sticks, the BBQ restaurant on the right.

This was hands down the worst place I have ever eaten. The owners are super friendly, but, the food was terrible and building was dirty and near falling down. Our children’s chicken tenders were heated up in the microwave. My husband had brisket and jalapeño sausage. The brisket had nothing but fat and very little meat. I had the sausage and turkey. The turkey was a white breast bought at Walmart and heated in a crockpot. The green beans had no seasoning and the barbecue sauce tasted like watered down tomato sauce. None of us finished our meals. I was shocked at the $55 bill! Please save your money and look for a different place to eat.

Great place to go for BBQ, fish, and ribeye. Keith, the owner and grill master, is always doing his best to make sure everything is great.

Very good and very reasonable pricing. We also were able to get our turkey smoked here this year.

Used to be great but has spiraled downhill to the point of needing to shut down. Food never tastes fresh and sometimes even tastes days and days old. Yuck

the dirtyest place i have ever seen .unfriendly owner and staff unsanitary at best. the food prep area has a DIRT FLOOR and is only closed off by wire mesh flys everywhare DO NOT EAT HEAR

Old and tired place, seasoned to make you feel welcome and feed you real fresh Texan BBQ! At first glance might look dirty but that's the effect of the decor.

It was AWESOME and homey just good country folks.

I was here years ago and still remember how delicious the briskett and cornbread was.

The food was sub par. We ordered a steak and 2 fish dinners. The steak was ok, according to my son. The fish was flavorless. The side, consisting of fries, slaw and beans were not good. The slaw was the only decent side. The $44 bill was shocking. I tipped $10, but the service and the food were not worth it. The owner is very nice, personable, and friendly. Other than that, I see no reason to use this establishment.

Best Bbq in Brownwood Texas

Great catfish, great folks, great character! We'll be back!

Came to brownwood to visit family and they brought me here. Three of us ate the brisket and about 3-4 hours later we all had food poisoning, food was mediocre at best. Be careful when you eat there, the owner was a stand up guy and was very respectful. It hurts to give him a bad review but we were all sick for two days.

Great food!! I had the pork ribs and honey had catfish! Had an awesome conversation with the owner about a majical place in Bend, Texas. Great atmosphere, lots to see and talk about.

The proprietor of Lemon’s BBQ has been smoking meat for 23 years. Ribs were nice and tender, brisket wet and smoky. Tasty BBQ sauce. The sides left a little to be desired.

By far Keith has always out done himself! He lives for this place and it's reputation. Couldn't be a better man with a better establishment!

Food is great. Prices very reasonable. The staff that assisted me was so nice and professional. I am from Detroit and I’ll scream it from there. YOU GOTTA GO TO LEMONS. GREAT JOB

Listen... hands down great food. Me and company are from New York and were taken by surprise by how great this authentic food was and how great the service is. All smiles and genuine conversation definitely would give a 10 star rating if available. Will be back to enjoy more definitely.
